London Ringette Association would like to congratulate Riley Workentin who was selected as one of this year’s recipients of the Gord Bell Memorial Scholarship Award. This award is presented by the Great Lakes Ringette League (GLRL) and is awarded yearly to players that best exemplify a passion for the game of ringette.
Riley started in our bunny program and has played competitive ringette from U12 to U19AA. In addition to playing, she also contributed to our sport by volunteering at events, was a shot clock operator and a referee. While Riley enjoyed the competition of the many games she played, her favourite memories always revolve around the many friendships she made within her teams and beyond. She especially enjoyed the opportunity to travel to Finland and Sweden, where she played with her younger sister, Aryn.
Riley plans to attend Queens University in the fall to study Kinesiology. Best of luck Riley!
